Merchant Wind Power

Since the launch of our MWP scheme nearly a decade ago, we have received a number of prestigious awards recognising both the strength of our pioneering scheme and the effectiveness of our unique brand of industrial wind power.

Our Merchant Wind Power scheme was awarded the prestigious Ashden Award in 2007 for the role our wind parks have played in boosting the wind sector in the UK, as well as helping the UK meet its targets for electricity generation from renewable energy.

This award from RegenSW was specifically for our Bristol Port wind park, voted the Best Large Renewable Energy Scheme in the region for 2007, confirmed by the fact the planning application for these turbines was unanimously supported by the local council.

Our GreenPark turbine in Reading was awarded The South East Sustainable Partnership award in 2005 in recognition of the contribution it has made to creating sustainable energy for homes and businesses in the region.

We were honoured to receive the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the category of Environmental Achievement back in 2000, as recognition of the work we had done to supply business and large scale industry with environmentally friendly power sources.
